OpenID

OpenID is an open standard that lets you choose the organization you trust to be authenticated: with OpenID, you no longer have to create a new user name and password for each site.

This blog is OpenID enabled and you can use your OpenID to submit your comments.

The good news is that you probably have an OpenID even if you don’t know it!

  • If you have a Google account, your OpenID is your Google profile address.
  • If you have a Yahoo! account, you can enable your OpenID access.
  • AOL, Orange, Blogger, WordPress.com and many other websites are also OpenID providers, see the list of well known OpenID providers on openid.net!

Using OpenID is perfectly safe: you will always be authenticated by the provider that you will have chosen and this blog won’t have access to your user and password info!
